As a Certified B Corporation®, Tillamook Creamery is strengthening its sustainability commitment in all areas of the business, including the boiler room. Several years ago Tillamook turned to us to replace its oil-firing boiler with an electric one.
At the time of installation, the company needed a boiler that would accept 25kV without transformation to a lower voltage and Cleaver-Brooks is one of the only manufacturers in the world with that capability.
More recently, we expanded the capacity of Tillamook's boiler system from 5.3 MW of peak power to 6 MW to shift even more steam production to electrical energy.
Tillamook's electric boiler decreased emissions and operational costs and paid for itself in less than two years.
